More than one emcee has inquired "how many deejays do you know that's from Russia?" The answer, for most people, is one: DJ Vadim. This Russian-born, England-based, but seemingly always road-bound deejay and producer needs no introduction. Vadim kindly put together this mix in honor of ODDIOFILE's 50th episode—an eclectic and technically proficient mix of dub, hip hop, downtempo, and soul featuring tracks by Fat Freddy's Drop, Fatlip feat. Chai 2na, McKay & 7STU7, Nickodemus, Quantic, & the Candela Allstars, Stevie Wonder and many others. Keep an eye out for his forthcoming album "The Soundcatcher" (available in April from BBE), and for god's sake check out his One Self project (with Yarah Bravo, Blu Rum 13, and DJ Woody) if you've been in a cave or something for the past two years.
