Looks like the Jeff Mills Choice: A Collection of Classics 4x12" (on Azuli) and 2xCD is available for order and to be released soon! Looking forward to this one...

"YOU CAN PRE-ORDER NOW AND WE WILL SHIP TO YOU APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS AHEAD OF IT'S UK RELEASE DATE OF 5TH JULY 2004!!"

Looks like another nice collection in the Choice series.

The website has samples of all of the tracks... In case you also have trouble listening to them because of the background music (also from the collection, I guess), you have to be fast, but there will appear a button to stop the audio in the upper right hand corner of the animated display for about two seconds. If you can push it in time, you can release yourself from the audio so that you can actually hear the samples).

On the topic of the Choice series: those of you who like them... Do you buy the vinyl, the CDs, or both? I own all of the vinyl versions, but only the FK CD's... was wondering if the other CD's are worth picking up as well... they of course all have tracks that aren't on the 12"'s. I'm curious if the mixes are worth listening to. Comments?

Ordering my copy of the Mills 4xLP for now!

Brent

Don't have any of the cd's myself, just the vinyl ones, but from what I've heard the Derrick Carter cd is supposed to be worth picking up.

The Jeff Mills one looks like another good one. I find that I have a lot of the tracks included on the Choice comps, but there's always a few I've never heard of that suprises me.

Also take note that azuli (I think) are releasing at 12" with the ritual session mix of melting pot (booker T)!!!

Hopefully they will see the light and release a 12" with ritual session mixes of Mos def backed with d'angelo off louie's choice comp!!! (I'm dreaming now... Rolling Eyes

I must correct you on this one Marius; its the Tony Humphries, not the Frankie Knuckles choice which is unmixed on CD.

Okaydokey. As you know, I don't have any of these on cd. I just tried to remember what you'd told me about it.
