V/A - Team Young Finland In Spain (bootysounds)
7 samurai - marvin & stevie e.p.
Gerome Sportelli - Acid Krax vol 1 (krax)
still waiting for the chicago acid comp on souljazz to reach some local shops, as well as the semi-recent Omar S bombs on fxhe.
Anyone else care to share their latest finds?

Doh! Meant to grab those today, but forgot.

I did pick up:
Emperor Machine - Tropical Waste/Roller Daddy (DC)
SAMoooO - Message From Yo' Mama/Hunting Beaver (GAMM)
Casbah 73 - Cabo Verde Strut (HiTop)
Jazztronik - Madrugada (Especial)
KB - El Musica (Yoruba)
The Orb - Ripples/Traumvogel (Kompakt)
DJ Gregory - Head Talking
Smith & Mighty - Retrospective (thought it'd be nice to have the stuff on CD, but dangit, another case of limiter abuse in the mastering... Rolling Eyes Honestly, I don't know why I bother sometimes...)

Peece,
T. Tauri

ha ha, i played the sly and rob dub of sex with strangers at a party on saturday. girls all starting staring at me like i was odd.

the new chicken lips sweet cow tingy is interesting. the 10" and one of the 12"s too (with the lindstrom mix on it); not heard the final 12" yet though. very tom tom club.

i also got a glimmer records reissue, tania maria - does anyone know anyting about this label? they released a few reggae 10"s a few years back incl. the congos, but this is d.i.s.c.o.

any info appreciated, where are they from, discog etc? rather desperate on this one...

and got that beat box 12" reissue, the one with the basquiat artwork. the "version" is superb. it goes on and on (till the break of dawn etc etc)...

Well, what have I been getting lately then. Have been going a bit crazy, so it's quite a bit that's been delivered to my door over the last few weeks... I think this is it:

Greg Wilson Credit To The Edit Vinyl One - 12"
Rub'N'Tug Campfire - 2xLP

The Emperor Machine Vertical Tones And Horizontal Noise - Part One (Inc. Idjut Boys Remix) - 12"
The Emperor Machine Vertical Tones And Horizontal Noise - Part Two - 12"
Major Swellings Major Swellings - 2xLP
Plant Life The Last Song (Chicken Lips Remix) - 12"
Disco Sucks #2 Edits By FC - 12"
Rub N Tug Rong Re-edits - 12"
Soul JazzCan You Jack? Chicago Acid And Experimental House 1985 - 1995 - Both LPs
Beat Pharmacy Earthly Delights - LP
Kerri Chandler The Dark One, The Moon & The Candle Maker - 12''
Glimmer Twins The Glimmers - 4 x LP Box Set
JEN Galactica - 12''
Justus Kohncke Elan - 12''

Yorkshire Rapper Put Our Heads Together (re-edit) - 12''
3 Generations Walking Nothing Or No One - 12''

Jill Scott Golden - 12''

Damn, putting down all those on the same list made me feel like a lunatic... Rolling Eyes

Greg Wilson Credit To The Edit Vinyl One - 12"

Really feeling this and am lucky to have Greg playing in London a lot at the moment. He plays a lot with this guy I know called Danny Webb who is a wicked dj as well, if you ever get the chance to check them together do it.

Canít wait for more stuff on the tirk label, it going to a hot one i can feel it.

Well, to be honest I haven't had the time to listen very closely to all of them yet... Embarassed But I gotta say the Trina tune is one of the best garage tunes I've heard in a while. Pure bliss. Heard it for the first time when we were in Vinylmania when i NYC, but Joe C snatched both copies the store had in right under our nose... Selfish bastard... grinyes One of the edits on Eric & Thomas' Rong release is very good as well. Can't remember what it is, but I'm not talking about the Chicago one. What else, what else... Oh, obviously all my respekt to Brendon and FK for B's album and FK's production with U Roy, but y'all probably know about those two. MKL's two releases are brilliant as usual. These are the two first on his label Lion Music, if I remember correctly. Also, make sure you do pick up the Yorkshire Rapper re-edit if you come across it. It's on Better Days. I haven't heard the original in ages though, so can't really tell you whether you need this one as well, if you already have the original. The Optimo comp is nice. Good thing they included "Theme For Great Cities", which I've been after for a while. And finally: also very happy I finally got around to picking up the Jazmin (?) remix of "Golden", which is on the original 12''.

Gotta make time for a little listening session this w/e...

hmmm... the yorkshire rapper? I listened to it after quite a few people were talking about it and still wasn't convinced. I'll give it another go! Optimo comp is great, and I really rated the Lion music things. Good call!

Speaking of Kylie, Terje. Has anyone heard that 94'ish Kylie tune that's been re-released on some bootleg now? What's it called again... "Confide In Me" or something like that? Is this mix any good?

I have the original "Confide in Me" on 12"... don't ask me why. Fairly good tune, though. What, allegedly, have they done to it on the bootleg?

I have no idea. Just remember reading about it, and that it for some reason sparked my interest.
