I find it interesting that you guys aren't completely familiar with Heart - Magic man. I only say this because you can turn on any classic rock station in ANY city or town in the US and hear Magic Man three times a day. It's a guarantee, like hearing "Black Dog" or "Take the Money and Run" or "Money". I grew up on it.

Love the synth solo in the song Cool

I was wrong. Got the rekkid in the mail this weekend, and "Magic Man" doesn't ring any bells here. Good tune though! music765

Harry Potter? Well worth a try if you ask me. My sister got me into them. She kept recommending them to me and then bought me one for my birthday. I read it, and promptly went out and bought the rest myself. They're real page-turners, as deejay66 said!

Best to start from the first one - "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" - as the story progresses from book to book.

Happy reading! Wink

Ash ra is second hand and is pretty good. I found this site discussing the good kraut LP's:

http://www.vinylvulture.co.uk/kraut/kosmische.php

The noid is the 12" shared between idjuts and Harv. Really like the edit of keep on trying. It wasn't cheap, I got it from gemm, £18 ($30).

Congotronics is the vinyl LP version (7ish tracks), I got it from phonica, it was listed on their site for about 30 seconds before they sold out. Managed to grab one. Very Happy

d,

£18 is cheap for that one, very sought after. the idjuts track is (for me) up in their top 3.

i'll go digging for the konono. cheers.

Harry Potter!!!

And there I was in total admiration for all your taste(s). I work in a bookshop and these books (to me) are like being forced to listen to your most hated piece of music. I think the Pope thinks he's the devil incarnate too...

Not complaining though - those book sales pay my bills Laughing

Is it any good?

For it's target audience, I find it impressively good. Personally, I grew up reading stuff like Hardy Boys, where the universe was entirely cyclical:each new adventure contributed nothing to the next; it was a no-growth, Simpsons-esque world. And the arc of these characters growing older and wiser as the novels progress seems pretty amazing to me in comparison.

some newies - some not:
Xavier Fischer Trio - Visit from A Goddess LP
Frank Popp Ensemble - The World Is Waiting 12"
Frank Popp Ensemble - Touch And Go LP
VA - Communique: Singles & Signals 2LP (featuring rare and hard to find classic chicago tunes from Kevin Saunderson, Terence Parker USG Remix and some tracks and remixes from Lionrock and Salt City orchestra) deep and quite solid. all tracks are from 93-96.
Supergrass - Road To Rouen
Einzel Gaenger - Panamericana - Spectrum Works rare and quality shit in mint condidtion on sale for $2,
Troy Pierce - Horse Nation - Minus
Map Of Africa - Black Skin/MOA Instrumental
Technical Ecstasy EP featuring Mr. Fingers "Stars" 1987 original version - finally a decent pressing and quality mastring job of this tune. other tracks on this 12" are inspired by this tune.
