Not youtube, but a google video:
"Vinyl" (2000) by Alan Zweig - a two hour documentary about vinyl collecting. I may have missed it, but I don't think I have seen more than a short clip of this posted here... Recommended viewing, if you haven't already seen it!

Hey Brent! Long time no see!
Is this the one I posted a clip from a while ago, with the crazy guy aiming to get every single record ever released?
Exactly! The clip you posted is part of this documentary... (at least, I only remember seeing a few-minute-long clip posted, and not the whole movie? apologies if I am reposting!) There are a few other funny collectors in the film, in addition to this nutty guy that wants to own a copy of every song ever made If you haven't seen the whole documentary, I think you'd like it!
Long time no see, yeah. I still check the board relatively frequently, but been pretty busy for the past few months. Still catching up on some stuff, but things are settling down!
A moment from the 2007 incarnation of The Danger's "One Night of Fire" (aka The Renegade Parade), an annual street-train-and-beach party and guerilla parade across Brooklyn. It features musicians, acrobats, and general revelers marching and riding the Subway from the Brooklyn Bridge to Coney Island. _________________ by S. Oolongo

Now this one is even more interesting, the music playing is actually quite good, but he's shaking around and twiddling knobs, which I can't figure to have any effect whatsoever on the sounds that we hear.....

"he knows perfectly what he's doing. Checking the bpm, dancing, singing. A legend and a very cool dj. I'll watch him live tonight."
So that's how to be a cool DJ! Must remember: check bpm, dance, sing...
Wow. Even the mix from one song to the next seemed to come from somewhere else.
I guess that's one of the perils of large scale dj-ing these days; with so many dj booths being presented on spot lit stages, the pressure to perform on some obvious level can overwhelm or, as in the above footage, obliterate the reason for being in there to start with. And it was seemingly not an issue at that event.
I loved the days when the dancers responded to the music and each other, with the dj being an aurally strong, yet visually subtle presence in the room. Reading through other threads on this forum it's heartening to know there are places in the world where this still happens. Thank you.
