Not many discussions on Dub at the moment ?.

Enjoying listening to a few compilations and new dubbed out business at the moment..

Deepchord - Grandbent DBpk

Channel One - Maxwell Avenue Breakdown (Pressure Sounds) Loving the steppers and Channel One !.

Anyone checking any Roots, Dub and beyond ?.

Peace Alex

Haha, it's a quiet forum these days. Liking the deepchord sound, picked up the vantage isle pack recently. I know it's a common complaint, but some of this stuff sounds a bit "samey", but you know it's all good. I've tired of a lot of the dubstep new releases already, the early dmz stuff was fresh, but the rest of it has't floated my boat recently. Obviously one to mention is the basic replay comp or 12's, all killer, no filler as they say. Waiting on that Quiet Village dub of FK's recent release, but I'm sure you've already got that Wink I've been saving the pennies recently, but I'd really like the Keith Hudson LP's on basic replay, and a copy of heart of the congo's would be nice too. Ultimately, there's just too much out there!

Hi Fred,

Once the can is opened it never ends, hope your good mate and had a good b-day. Yeah the Keith Hudson Lp was good, I really liked the 'Basic Reply' comp as well. Trying to find some good roots and Dub nights in London again. There seems to be a big hole missing when 'Dub Club' closed. I was really happy when got news of this in a couple weeks. Looks like my prayers have been answered !. Top sound from Stokey.

Maybe see you at the Loft ?.

Hi Alex!

I notice from your post that the next Loft is gonna be at the new venue. Is that the first one there? How is it compared to The Light?

Hope you're well!

That's what you get for skimming through posts. I just read "see you at the loft?", and then the address for the venue. Just ignore me. Wink

hey guys,

still buying bits of reggae as and when, but not so much this past year really. still checking the wackies reissues etc and got the basic replay cd even though i bought all the 12"s! good for the car. picked up a couple of pressure sounds 7"s of joe higgs the other week. lots of nice drumming going on, same rhythm too on both, so keeps you busy. also, ariwa are reissuing a few 7"s too - picked up the african warrior one, the dubs' wicked.

also, worth trying to find is the kiddus i lp on dubspot - try honest jons as they probs distribute them. there was a great 12" too.

dubstep. keep an ear in, but buy v.v.little. that venetian snares one was killer though.

forum wise, been too busy really. i never get the time to look at blogs anymore, which is shame as it introduces so much great music. however, there are soooo many out there.

all the best. looking forward to hearing that system alex.

It seems like the minus temperatures outside unfortunately prevented me from going to this Solution Sound gig...listening to a few bits at home instead...The re-issue of the classic Joe Higgs lp Life of Contradiction on Pressure Sounds is great, and the Bim Sherman comp they put out a couple months ago was even better. That Japanese comp of Kiddus I has to be the best reggae release of late though Wink

Also on 10", Jah Seal's Jah Soldier is a killer, as well as Jackie Mittoo's Wall Street 7" reissued by Archive. Top stuff Razz
