Been thinking about FZ recently.

"Waka Jawaka" has always been a big favorite of mine. And lots of other stuff really, like "Apostrophe" and so on...

Let's hear it!

well my absolute favorites are apostrophe and overnite sensation.

when i first bought the album on CD, they were packaged together on one disc. so to me, they are kinda one double album. some of the songwriting on those albums is just amazing. Since the first time i heard the fast jazzy vibraphone on "st. alphonzo's pancake breakfast" I was hooked. it's adventurous music.

My next fav is Sheik Yerbouti - it took some repeated listens before it clicked. The doo wap aspect of these songs, juxtaposed with the progressive and challenging arrangements are just super inspiring to me, and amongst everything that is going on with these songs, there still remains a hook, to keep you engaged on that instinctual, primal level.

fucking genius.
