I've got the Patti Jo and Herman Kelly ones on OST (but I think the Herman Kelly one must still be in the UK - can't find it here ) The Patti Jo one's awesome...
What are your favourites off the album? |

Love that track, but right now, what does it for me is the Melba Moore version of it. A Tom Moulton mix clocking in at something like 7 minutes. Wykyd! _________________ HTTP://WWW.COSMICDUB.COM - What? There's actually something there???

agreed on that patti jo! missed the 12" of this i guess, just excellent... any other good singles? really feeling most of these tracks 'i got lifted' - george mcrae, and 'funkanova' - wood, brass and steel are particularly good as is 'shack up' - banbarra...
couple other soul/disco re-edit things this week: fellow member greg wilson's 'i was a teenage dj' has some stompers. also beatfanatic reworks 'mama don't want no gun' by kokolo. |

Jim Burgess' original mix of the Herman Kelly is the one to go for imo. No need to get the Harvey edit Jef, if you already got the original. I have both, and I gotta say RV's version kinda disappointed me.

i've got most of those on the 12"s. all good. its frank tope's label. except the the mischief brew, which was their own 1st release i think.
the harvey one isn't his best, but my fave is the pressure drop edit. over and over came on a 12", one sided, so no edit there i'm afraid.
i'm really struggling with re-edits right now, too many i guess. |

definitely ace... sorry i missed you during the visit. talked to san and sounded like you were finding all the spots. hope the hunting was good... on the re-edits, i too am a little overwhelmed (or under rather) but still will buy something that sounds good and has some kind of purpose with the edit that makes it different from the original... |

i have still been buying the unabombers edits - i have all 12! (or is it 11?).
also the slam jam neroli ones too are good cos they are different... |
